Orion Beta Online Help

Data transmission

PAP machine and therapy data can be sent to Orion wirelessly through the telecommunications network. Authorized Orion users can access PAP machine data stored in the cloud using a standard internet connection.

Orion allows clinical users to change a patient's therapy settings remotely through the telecommunications network.

These changes do not appear immediately in Orion and are not applied in real time on the machine. The new settings take effect the next time the patient starts the PAP machine, so therapy is not interrupted during use.

Changes are limited to valid modes and settings compatible with the patient's PAP machine. Clinical users can sign in to Orion to view a log of any remotely applied changes.

Only clinical users within the organization can change therapy settings in Orion. These users may include homecare providers, hospital staff and physicians. Orion notifies the clinical users in the organization when new settings are applied and logged.
