Update therapy settings

Caution

Orion is not intended for remote titration. Consult a physician for any changes you make to therapy settings that modify an existing prescription.

If a patient's prescription has changed, you can send settings changes wirelessly to their PAP machine. Orion applies the changes to the machine when the machine is turned on and within a coverage area.

Note

Settings changes can only be made on AirSense 11 AutoSet, AirSense 10 AutoSet and AirCurve 11 VAuto machines.

Before you update a patient's PAP machine settings, ensure that:

  • the machine serial number shown from the Equipment tab matches the serial number of the patient's therapy machine

  • the machine type shown from the Equipment tab matches the type of machine the patient is using

  • the system has received at least one day's worth of data.

Important

  • Incorrect settings can result in incorrect therapy. Ensure that all prescription changes are approved by the patient's physician.

To update therapy settings:

  1. Search for and open the patient record.

  2. Click Equipment in the left navigation menu.

  3. In the PAP machines section, under the machine you want to update settings for, click Machine settings.

  4. Click Change settings.

  5. Update the patient's therapy settings as needed.

  6. Click Next.

  7. Click Send settings to the machine.

    In the PAP machines section, the status is updated to Changes pending. This status changes to No settings changes pending after the settings are applied to the PAP machine.

    Setting changes may take some time to complete. You may need to refresh your display to see an updated status.
