Add PAP machines
Assign a PAP machine to a patient's profile to receive their therapy data.
From the Equipment page, click Add machine.
If you are adding a second PAP machine for the patient, in the Add machine window, click Continue adding second machine.
Enter the machine's serial number and device number.
For more information, see Where can I find the device number in the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs).
Click Next.
If the PAP machine is already assigned to a different patient, click Yes, reassign machine to reassign it to the current patient.
If this is the first PAP machine added for this patient, the Calculate compliance/reimbursement using the machine check box is selected by default.
Only one PAP machine per patient can be used for compliance calculations.
Note
Compliance follows the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) definition: the patient must use the PAP machine at least 4 hours a day on 21 of 30 days in the first 90 days. Orion calculates compliance from the PAP machine marked as the compliance machine. After 90 days, the system tags the patient as "Compliance met" or "Compliance not met."
In the Machine assignment date field, select the date the patient was first set up with or given their therapy equipment.
The patient is assigned data from this PAP machine starting on this date.
Important
Set this date correctly to ensure the right data is assigned to the right patient.
In the Patient setup date field, select the first day of the patient's initial compliance period.
All compliance calculations start from this date.
From the Reason for machine list, select the reason for the patient's PAP machine assignment.
Click Add machine.
